Vision
Mission
- To implement and sustain effective infection prevention and control practices in accordance with national and international guidelines.
- To promote adherence to standard precautions, hand hygiene practices, biomedical waste management, and antimicrobial stewardship.
- To conduct continuous surveillance, monitoring, and reporting of healthcare-associated infections for early detection and prevention.
- To foster a culture of patient safety, accountability, and continuous improvement in infection control practices across all healthcare settings.
- To ensure preparedness and rapid response to outbreaks and emerging infectious threats through multidisciplinary collaboration and evidence-based interventions.
- To strengthen the knowledge, skills, and competency of healthcare personnel through continuous education, training programs, and quality improvement initiatives.
IPC Multidisciplinary committee meets every month on 3rd Tuesday.

Public awareness on Importance of Hand hygiene, respiratory etiquette, waste segregation and importance of vaccination sessions conducted by ICNs at hospital courtyard and attended by around 25 general public.

IPC rolling trophy won by NICU & PICU trophy handed over to the Incharge staff.
Dr. Vinoth Memorial award is awarded to Irrusammal, and Vanitha attender were honored with certificate and Rs500/- cash by Dr.R.N.Kagne, Director, SMVMCH
A variety of cultural programs with awareness and educational themes were performed by kitchen workers, laundry staff, housekeeping personnel, attenders, and staff nurses.
The program well attend by around 100 health care workers & general public.

Awareness programs were performed by all category of health care workers. Quiz, Face painting, Rangoli and Stall competition was conducted related to hand hygiene day. The winners were given prize and certificate
